Eagerly Waiting for the Summer
I'm ready for the summer, can't wait for it to arrive soon enough, and I decided to start create a summer night painting of one of my favorite hang out location in New York City, Washington Square Park! Here is a look of the painting in progress.

Bluebells Ring In The Spring
24,000 Bluebells bloom this time of the year at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. I was mesmerized the 1st time I encountered this sea of bluebells in the garden. Since, I return to see them every spring, and take many more photo. Finally, I created this painting to express my gratitude toward this nature spectacular. This painting, and prints are to for your acquiring on my website http://www.chandlelee.com/shop/

My 15 Seconds Of Fame!
Last night, two of my painting was projected on a wall in Chinatown, Manhattan as part of the art protest rally organized by the ChinatownArtBrigade.org that reflect refuge, resilience & resistance from people across the globe fighting Trump’s racist, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim agenda as well as those who are resisting gentrification. You can see the two paintings here: www.chandlelee.com/paintings

Sowing Flower Seeds On My Block
One thing I miss the most living in San Francisco was my backyard garden! Now living in Brooklyn, New York there is no space for gardening, I decided to sow 30+ packages of perennial flower seeds around the street tree planters up and down my block tonight! Hopefully the rain coming this weekend will help the seeds germinate fast and grow healthy! Can't wait to see the flowers this summer!

Chinatown Art Brigade!
Last minutes notice, happening tonight, May 12! Just got an email from ChinatownArtBrigade.org that two of my paintings (see below) have been selected to be part of this art and protest event. Stop by!

RITES of SPRING
RITES of Spring - An Art Show after the Long, Dark Winter. Spring has sprung! Is the dark age our country has plunged into after the presidential election is about to brighten up? Many are confused and depressed by the ruptured of the current political and social climates. As an immigrant artist, the pervasive anti-immigrant and anti-equality sentiments seems especially dire and hopeless.
